The PDC Unicorn World Youth Final between Corey Cadby and Berry van Peer was highly anticipated and it didn’t dissappoint!
Cadby dominated in the early stages firing in a maximum leaving 128 after just nine darts and he took a 1-0 lead taking out Tops for a 13 darter.
The second leg was a close battle with Van Peer first to a finish on his own throw he couldn’t take out 167 and in stepped Cadby to take out a stunning 126 finish on D6 to double his lead at 2-0.
Cadby dominated the third leg hitting 165 to leave 24 for a 14 darter averaging 111 at this point and 3-0 to the good.
Cadby kicked off leg four with a maximum and the leg was very closely contested and Van Peer took his chance at 62 on D18 to reduce the deficit to 1-3.
Cadby started off leg five with back-to-back 140’s averaging 108.40 at this stage in the match and went 4-1 ahead after picking out D16 for a 15 darter.
Van Peer was in firm control of the sixth leg on his own throw and missed a dart at the bull for a 128 Cadby couldn’t take out 146 however Van Peer missed two darts at D10 but Van Peer returned and missed two more Darts at D5 but both players continued to miss and Van Peer eventually picked out D2 to make it 2-4.
Cadby dominated leg seven on his own throw leaving a finish after three visits, Cadby opened up a 5-2 lead after taking out D16 for a 13 darter.
Van Peer looked comfortably in front in the eighth leg, and looked to get it back to 3-5 but Cadby fired in a maximum to apply the pressure and Van Peer couldn’t take out 53 and Cadby returned to take out 71 on D16 to become the World Youth Champion in a flawless performance from the young Aussie!
