Michael Van Gerwen is in the Semi finals of the Grand Slam of darts in wolverhampton after he defeated Kim Huybrechts in sensational circumstances averaging 111.65 and hitting twelve 180s.
Van Gerwen started off like a train averaging 122 at the first interval with Huybrechts having to take out a 141 checkout to even take a leg.
Van Gerwen nearly hit a nine darter hitting seven perfect darts then to miss the treble 19, the result of the match was never in doubt and the dutchman set up a semi-final clash with Michael Smith after he dismissed Adrian Lewis earlier this evening.
Van Gerwen has a tournament average of 108.28 which mind boggling after five matches he averaged 109 vs Steve Beaton in the last 16 and now averaged 111 in this game he really is unbeatable playing in that vain of form.
