Chris Dobey: The rise of Chris Dobey

Chris Dobey has had a fantastic last 6-7 months in the PDC, this weekend he reached 3 consecutive last 16 appearances, including wins over James Wade, Steve Beaton and Jamie Caven picking up £4500 for his efforts and gone up a place in the Oom to 70th in the world.

Before that he reached the Quarter finals of the German Darts Masters in Munich after a great win over Dave Chisnall in the last 16 he went on to face MvG in the QF and he took the game to Van Gerwen and Dobey went 5-4 up on MvG but narrowly lost out 6-5 to the world number one.
On the back end of last year Dobey participated in the Unibet World Series of Darts finals which he qualified for, in which he got narrowly edged out by Terry Jenkins.
If Dobey continues his recent good form he will be a force in the PDC and a major threat.
