World Championship quarter-finalist Alan Norris has become the latest member of #TeamTarget
The 2014 Lakeside runner-up only made the switch to the PDC at the start of 2015, blasting his way through Q-School on the opening day, and hitting a nine-dart on the way.
Just a few days later “Chuck” threw another perfect leg, and then went on to claim his maiden PDC ranking title at a Players Championship in October.
The 43 year old then produced a stunning run to the quarter-finals at Alexandra Palace on his debut at the PDC World Championship, only narrowly missing out on a semi-final spot in a deciding set defeat to Jelle Klaasen.
His displays earned him the honour of being named the PDC’s Best Newcomer, and pushed him up the rankings to just outside the world’s top 32.
Norris has also started 2016 with a bang, having already produced a run to the final of the opening UK Open qualifiers in Wigan.
Target Managing Director Garry Plummer was delighted to welcome Alan to the Target stable of players, which already includes legendary players such as Phil “The Power” Taylor and Adrian Lewis:
“So pleased with Alan joining the team,” said Plummer”, “he is a fantastically talented player and a great fit for our brilliant team.”
